About Misha
The story of Misha's Cupcakes began shortly after having my first child, Ella, when I started baking cupcakes in my kitchen both as a creative outlet (read: we needed money!) and a way to stay close to my newborn daughter. Using my mother's chocolate recipe, and devising a vanilla one of my own, I made cupcakes for friends, neighbors, and donations. Word quickly spread and the sweet aroma of cupcakes never dissipated from our block.
The kitchen quickly became too small, and I moved my baking operation to an industrial park close by. After only two years, and with the constant urging of many loyal customers, Misha's Cupcakes opened in the Gables on South Dixie Highway. Our storefront is packed with newcomers and familiar faces alike. We distribute to many local restaurants, markets, hospitals, coffee shops and salons, as well as take custom orders for cakes (made from the same delicious cupcake batter) and cupcakes.
I have dedicated myself to being part of each aspect of my business, including the batter making, baking and decorating process on a daily basis. I can usually be found in the back of my Gables store covered in batter or frosting! Now, through our commitment to quality and customer service, our store has expanded to four locations in South Florida, with plans to open our fifth store in Pembroke Pines shortly.
