Sketched and photographed by me while out in the Brecon Beacons National Park, just minutes from where I live. This image is featured in my personalised children's book:
'The Tale Of The Little Black Pony'.
Please subscribe to my newsletter here > http://mlgn.to/19m1 to learn more, to buy or even to win a copy with up to two children You Know featured as the hero and his or her friend - beautifully illustrated, of course.
I began painting animals (horses especially) in a very naturalistic form, which I do still love to do. At the same time though I love to play with the essence of the animal, capturing its grace and spirit instead.
SOLD! But please re-commission or commission something similar.
Before my husband fell seriously ill we used to farm a smallholding here in Wales. These cattle belong to a Welsh farmer who befriended and helped us learn the ropes in those early days. I enjoyed sketching and photographing them for this painting.
Inspired by long days of early summer - and by the wild flower 'meadow' (a very small meadow indeed) in my nature garden in Wales.
SOLD! But why not recommission or look for something similar? As the sun goes down so do the horses' heads - now also available as a fine-art print or greetings card based on it.
Another view of, in fact almost a continuation of, my Meadows series based on the perfect meadow and my mini-wild-flower meadow at home.
SOLD! A revisited study of my beloved Welsh Mountain Ponies as a subject - available as a re-commission, a fine-art print on canvas or traditional media or as greetings cards. Do contact me!
The Brecon Beacons National Park begins only about two miles from my home in wild West Wales.
SOLD! But you can re-commission, commission something similar, or purchase a beautiful fine-art print on stretched canvas, traditional media or handmade greetings cards.
SOLD! But please re-commission, commission something similar, or purchase a beautiful fine-art print on stretched canvas, traditional media or handmade greetings cards. Sketched and photographed in the Brecon Beacons National Park near my home.
I photographed this sheep farmer riding on the Black Mountain on my way home from an exhibition I'd just set up in Brynamman, west Wales.
A still life comprised of some of my own jewellery and my father's wood turnings.
The subject of one of my popular newsletters I sent out to subscribers. If you'd like to subscribe for up to date and in depth info on my newest works (and a free monthly prize-draw) post this link into your browser - http://mlgn.to/19m
An image of the beautiful Welsh market town of Brecon at the height of summer.
Inspired by Monet - and my nature home, complete with frogs, newts and dragonflies.
Painted in the form of a collage but actually it's purely acrylic on board
Not on my website - it's on the wall in my own living room!
SOLD! But you can re-commission, purchase a beautiful fine-art print on stretched canvas or traditional media or handmade greetings cards. A female dragonfly sketched and photographed laying her eggs in my garden nature pond here in West Wales.
Not available through my website but you can contact me here!
A study in colour as much as a still life of jewellery.

More colour, globes and reflections
Being part English, Indian and Irish I have a love of all human artworks.
These 'ethnic' designs are, like people, trees and mountains, supposed not to be symmetric.
Wales, not the land of my fathers but the land of my husband and sons.
Inspired by a game of hide and seek with children and seeing the summer's light come through the leaves.
Found objects depicting thought.
Looking through, and through, and through, and . . .
The study of the bark of a tree growing on a hill near my home. The tree's answer to pain.
SOLD! But you can re-commission, commission something very similar (and state your own colours!), or purchase a beautiful fine-art print or even as handmade greetings cards.
A study of lichen growing in the pure air of wild West Wales, but seen as some as a pond seen through winter ice. If it's your painting you choose.
An accurate study of lichen growing in a graveyard in West Wales.
An accurate study of an observed and tiny piece of lichen. Seen as most people never see it.
Another of my 'Contemporary Ethnic' pieces.
Another of my much loved 'Contemporary Ethnic' studies in black and white.
All my paintings are also available as cards and fine-art prints as well as originals.
Not visible to everyone at first glance - but once you see it you'll never forget it.
When you see this is described as 'in Black and White' it means you can find this original painting (plus prints and cards) in my Black and White Gallery.
I find these monochrome 'Contemporary Ethnic Mix' paintings, prints and cards quietly mesmeric, calming and peaceful. Contemplate.
The essence of a loving couple? Or the desire for love to exist on all worlds?
Not available through my website but you can contact me here!
The mystery of Motherhood in a mysterious place.
Not available through my website but you can contact me here!
Seen on it's side as a river by some. Are we all not just rivers in our genes' race to the future sea?
Not available through my website but you can contact me here!

A sinuous female painted in black and white - seen by some as dancing, seen by some as a religious icon.
Not available through my website but you can contact me here!
Another of my Contemporary Ethnic Mix paintings. Like a lake or a cloud it's not meant to be symmetrical.
Not available through my website but you can contact me here!

An original and intense painting - but you can buy it as a fine-art print or even cards.

One of the fine old Welsh churches in the village of Llanarthne
Along with the church perhaps the pub is one of the two most iconic buildings in a country village.
Llanelly is the old English way of spelling the Welsh Llanelli. This major building, recently refurbished, is a grand sight.
Buy the original, prints or cards based on my artwork or contact me to commission your own!
SOLD! But you can re-commission, commission something similar, or purchase a beautiful fine-art print on stretched canvas, traditional media or handmade greetings cards. I'd be delighted to hear from you.
A rather famous view of the approach over the Cennen River and up the hill into Llandeilo, my home town. Llandeilo is a lovely place.
The famous approach to the town where I live, over the hill and not far away. Llandeilo bridge is the longest single-span stone bridge in Wales.
The quaint yet thriving heart of Brecon, one of my favourite towns in Wales and about 34 miles along the A40 from Llandeilo. You can purchase the original, a print, a card or commission your favourite street scene
Another aspect of Brecon. Why not commission a picture of your own favourite street? The original, prints and cards are available.
A fine 'watering hole' in the busy heart of Brecon within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons National Park and much of the subject matter of my work.
Another view of this fine street. Commission any type of work yourself or purchase originals, fine-art prints or cards through my site. I'm always delighted to chat!
Catching Brecon at it's best and busiest! You can buy originals, extremely long lasting fine-art prints (normally up to 2' on the smallest side!) and greetings cards too. Or commission something yourself.
Have you stayed here? Would you like to? Either way you can buy an original, a fine-art print or as many of my hand-made greetings cards as you like!
Who, on a sunny day in Brecon, wouldn't like to sit at the feet of the great man? Sign up for my newsletter to be kept up to date with new works, new public events and be in my free monthly prize draw!
A magnificent old building and the site of many a marriage for the folk of Brecon and its surrounds. Commission your own favourite building or street scene.
If you have a street or building that's special to you (or anything else) why not enquire about having it produced on commission. It's probably cheaper than you think.
My hand-made greetings cards only carry images of my own original artwork or photographs and come in a clear 'cellophane' slip cover with its own white envelope. A4 folded - blank inside.
Is she waiting to go to the party? To go home? Abandoned? You decide.
A friend of mine on her way home after a shopping trip.
Inspired by the tragic events at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where permanent shadows were left after the intense heatwave.
Discarded shadows on the local skateboard ramp.
A study in the permanence of the impermanent.
Do shadows need something to cast them? Can they have an independent life?
After digitally treating this black and white image the shadow stands free of the concrete almost as though it's a layer of black tarmac. Part of my study in shadows.
A genuine photograph with the crowd walking along the street removed and their shadows enhanced. I particularly love the mother and child. If science is right and there could be an infinite number of universes might one have shadows that exist by themselves?
On a bitingly cold winter's day, when nothing outside seems to have colour any more the world looks different in the Barita in Llandeilo.
Some time ago I was commissioned by the National Trust here in Wales (contact me for more details) to construct a piece of land-art. It was supposed to be temporary and decay with time but, at the end of the summer, the National Trust staff took it indoors to keep it safe. Thank you.
Here's one for the boys - and girls! It's a case of 'Pick a car, any car, and I'll tell you you'll almost certainly like it!'
My commission to create a piece of land-art for the National Trust here in Wales. The willow circle is a lens - one direction shows the folly of Man (literally, Paxton's Tower, a folly on a distant hill to the west) and the other shows some of the officially oldest trees alive in the UK
An original artwork of mine (an homage to a great and well-known painting) becomes the centre of interest in a Llandeilo street - or is it?
The water droplets from the previous night's dew are enchanting in the full-sized image. Another shot of one of my commissions by the National Trust.
Sometimes, in winter, you just can't wait to get indoors
Every little boy loves a puppy, but even little boys with puppies can be sad some days.
A Welsh dawn as seen through long grass, dew and the Celtic Circle I created for a National Trust land-art commission.
To some the blue vase might be all they focus on in this digitally remastered image - but that would be a shame.
The beautiful game - a world of events but, for now, it's all about the ball.
The day the young boy stood there has faded in memory now. Only the shadow persists.
An homage to Marlene Dumas, painter of the original. This artwork is my original however, painted in acrylic on canvas. Is the face in the hedgerow watching us?
Though there is a story here it might not have happened yet.
Another angle of my piece of land-art 'A Celtic Circle' created as a commission by the National Trust here in Wales and photographed by me just as the sun was rising.
Carreg Cennen Castle - means 'The castle on the rock overlooking the river Cennen' in English. This, along with Dinefwr and Dryslwyn form the three great castles around Llandeilo (my home town) and which worked together to keep invaders out.
A bookshop, a time to pause, to wait - but no, no waiting here.
Taran, now sadly, no more. She wasn't walking along the wall though, just at the top of the wall's shadow. So now only her shadow remains to remind us.
My own shadow, captured and tamed, enhanced and frozen in time. It doesn't need me now, no sun either.
Passers by in the street on a sunny day. After enhancement their shadows stand the test of time. Have those who cast them?
And if reflections, like shadows, were to persist long after those who had cast them had gone away, what then?
I adore the soft curves of a woman - I understand a lot of people do.
A moment of solitude.
SOLD! But sometimes kids just wanna have fun.
You can re-commission, commission something similar, or purchase a beautiful fine-art print on stretched canvas, traditional media or as handmade greetings cards. Do your kids wanna have fun?
Bright and breezy - a nod to Andy Warhol here.
Another tip of the hat to Warhol. If you love colour?
Come on baby light my . . . well, you get the picture.
I could have painted the Green Man but that's been done and anyway, he didn't have the curves.
Brighten up a dull morning, let the sun shine in!
A blue mood can sometimes feel delightful.
Mellow yellow - for those morning when the sun-don't-shine.
The original is created in bas-relief and though this 3D character only comes through a little in the cards and prints all 3 media are available.
From Ape to Man, what a journey! Another 3D homage to the great man who opened such an important page in history for us to read.
Fascinated by fossils? Me too. This is one of the 3D images I've been creating for my own delight - hopefully yours too!
We can't be blamed for the extinction of the dinosaurs - how can we risk being blamed for animals alive now?
