History of our factory

Our factory is an old wood turning factory,you could see that many of our workers are all more than 35 years old,many even more than 50 years old,they have the wood turning experience for more than 15-30 years,now they are teaching the new workers their experience of wood turning and mathine adjustment every day,our factory has been a professional wooden door knob and bottle caps manufacturer for many years,but about 8 years ago we received some big orders from many foreign trade corporations,so we cost some money to make new moulds and begin to produce kendamas,after some times adjustment finally we became a very professional kendama producing factory,since we have good quality and competitive price,so our orders has increased,so we have to spend all of our time on kendama producing,and it became our main product,then we hired more workers,and asked old workers to teach them skills,and about 2 years ago factory director thought that we have the ability for foreign trade,so employed some salesman to begin the business of foreign trade,now our clients main in North America and southeast Asia,now we hope to develop more markets from all over the world,wish to could have this honor to cooperate with you :)

The two ways to fix the ken

We have two ways to fix the ken,metal nail and string itself,what we aways use is metal nial,since it's very durable and stable! and of course clients could choose any way they like,just tell me is ok :)

How we pack the kendamas

we will pack each kendama a bubble bag,which with an extra string in it,then 10 kendamas will be packed into a white box.

raw materials

under the ugly surface,there's aways a beautiful heart!
and it's very important to choose some good quality raw materials,since you need to know many about the wood,but our factory director has about 40 years experience on wood working,and has 12 years wooden toys producing,so it's him to control the quality of the raw material,every time he will goes to the wood material market,and choose form these messy raw wood materials,but he thought it's must! maybe the raw wood is ugly from the surface,but some of them do have a beautiful inner center,it's hard to Discern from the surface unless you have many years experience :)

Cut the raw materials into round timbers

After we choosing the nice raw material from the raw wood market,we will cut the raw wood into square timbers,then turns into round timbers,we will control the quality from here,if there's any defect on the round timber,we will not use it or use some part of it,so that players could get a beautiful kendama,this is important since we need to check if the grain is enough clear and beautiful,also we will touch it and test it to tell if it's enough durable,only after the strictly checking the round timber can be used for the next steps :)

Cut the round timber

Cute the round timbers into segments,different wood segments can be used to make different parts of a kendama,the long segments will be turned into the ken(handle),while the short segments will be turned into the cups and balls of the kendama.

Looks simple but need to be very careful!

Locate the wood segment

This step is to make a mark on the wood segment,so that when turning the segment it can keep a right position.

The handles cups and balls need to during a high speed turning,the mould is sharp enough so that can keep the handle smooth,of course we will also need to polish them.

Punch a hole

this hole will need to be accurate,if the size is big then the tip will look too long,and hard to play with,also if the hole is too small then the tip will be too short,it will looks funny.

Painting

This step will take a very long time and very complex,we will paint more than 3 tiers for the balls,and each time we painted the ball,we will check and polish it then paint it again and again,finally you will get a glossy and smooth safety PU paint ball,you could see there's a vents on the wall,and maybe you don't know,there's another world out of the vents,when we paint the ball,the paint mist will be spraied on the plants and many ants,so we will aways see there are many colorful ants ,but both plants and ants are lively.

Packing

In fact pack the kendamas not a simple work,we need to connect the ball and the ken and pack them into the bubble bag,and put 1 bag extra string with a plastic beed in it,also we will polish it again here,but use a clean cloth.

Unit package

Usual times we use two types of package to pack kendamas,but if clients ask for costums packages like colorful paper box or PVC + Paper box etc are also no problem for us,but need to order from other package producing factory.

solid color kendama

This is an ordinary design of kendama,it looks simple but won't influence players sight when play it,which makes the solid color kendama be such classical,also many other designs of kendamas are based on this type,so that's why i put it at the first page of products show,and we can paint any color you want :)

Crack kendama

The crack kendama is based on the solid color kendama,just will need to paint an extra tier special paint,this paint will crack after some times so the solid color base will appear.

Full paint kendama

this is also a classical kendama,we need to paint all the tamas and kens to be the same color,so we will have 3 steps to paint them,balls/kens/cups need to paint them separately.

Full paint 2 colors kendama

This is same as full paint kendama,just use differnet colors of balls.

5 hole solid color kendama

It's have more way and fun to play with,also will be more simple to insert,since you will find more chances.

Stripe kendama

we have differnet kinds of stripe kendamas,thick and thin all no problem for us,we welcome any color of the stripes

Rubber paint kendama

Rubber paint is a kind of paint that is some of sticky and durable,since under the rubber paint,there are 3 tiers PU paint,so though it looks simple,in fact it will prove very durable!

Bamboo kendama

The name should be bamboo jigsaw kendama,since we need to paste bamboo pieces together,then turn them into every parts of the kendama,this is a beautiful art i think,because of the stylish stripes and highly contrasted colors,both natural and painted bamboo kendama are liked by players.

Rosewood and wenge wood kendama

These are one piece wood kendama,most clients will ask for their natural design,since they are enough beautiful even no paint,and when you play with these materials,you could really feel the difference,no other kendamas can be instead of.

Zebra wood kendama

It's a very special material,which looks amazing and such beautiful just like a delicate craft,of course the real zebra wood kendama will be much more beautiful than the one in the picture!

Wood jigsaw kendama

This type is very similar as bamboo kendama,the difference is the material,this is a rosewood and beech wood jigsaw kendama,the two materials will be glued very well,you can not find any gap and trace,i like it because it's very cute and i think the ball just like an eye,it aways looks at me :)

Special shape——Pill kendama

Um.... here i need to recomend this kendama,we called it as pill kendama,since it really looks like a wooden pill,the ordinary type is 1 hole,but many players would like to ask for 5 holes,since there's more fun to play with many holes,also this type of kendama has solid color paint/crack paint/rubber paint and rubber crack paint design,anyway this type could make lot of fun also.

Special shape——robot kendama

Maybe you don't think this is a kendama,but it absolutely is a interesting kendama,there are many different ways to play with,any side and stick you could be a challenge,also the hole on it's body,come on let's have a try!
